Almost 30 years ago, World Mental Health Day was observed for the first time on October 10th. It was started as an annual activity of the World Federation for Mental Health to raise awareness about mental health issues and reduce the stigma surrounding people with mental health disorders. The celebration of this day also aims to empower people to take action because people who pay close attention to their mental health and work on improving it tend to live happier and healthier lives. Here are some excellent ways you can celebrate Mental Health Day. 

Educate & Communicate

A great way to celebrate Mental Health Day is educating yourself and your loved ones about mental health issues. Read or share an article about mental health. Talk with friends and family about the stigma and debunk some myths surrounding mental health disorders. You never know who that talk might help to overcome their situation.
