Getting to Know the F3 Team: Introducing Co-Founder and Master Trainer, Glenn Seth

As F3 Wellness Connections continues to grow, we want to maintain our personal connection between our team members and clients. We thought it would be fun to do a series of getting-to-know-you style Q&As with our team members, to show you what’s behind our passion for wellness.

First up: Meet Glenn Seth, co-founder of F3 and master trainer. With 15 years of kettlebell experience and 15 years as a licensed massage therapist, his skills are diverse. Glenn served in the United States Marine Corps and has trained with world-class kettlebell athletes, earning certifications from the World Kettlebell Club and the Russian Kettlebell Challenge.

So, when Glenn isn’t training sets of one-handed or two-handed swings, what else makes him tick?

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a military family. We moved every two to three years, so I was always the new kid. I have lived in Japan (Okinawa), southwest Georgia, South Carolina, and Northern Virginia.

What is one of your favorite childhood memories?

Late night games of Dungeons and Dragons. Embracing my imagination the old-fashioned way. You know, online role-playing games.

Tell us a few things you love to do in your time away from work.

I enjoy reading books such as historical novels and science fiction. I also love hanging out with my family at the pool or park.

Where is your favorite place to spend time around D.C.?

Flash. It has great DJ’s and is a great outlet for my crazy side.

Why did you start F3 Wellness Connections, and why the transition this spring to offer more services?

I wanted to be able to provide my clients with more service options to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It allows me the ability to tailor programs to the individual with the help of other providers that are the best in their industry. It is all about building connections.

Favorite food:

French Cuisine

Favorite “cheat food:”

Anything from Buttercream. This local Shaw bakery has the best-baked items, from chess pies to cupcakes.

Coffee, tea, or neither?

Coffee. I love my coffee, especially if it’s from Compass Coffee.

Tell us a little about your family:

My parents live in Delaware, close to the beach and my family, and I travel to visit them multiple times a year. I have a wonderful wife, Sarah, who is also my business manager and an integral part of F3. My daughter’s name is Asiya and she is almost four. We enjoy traveling to Mexico, France, and Cote D’ Ivoire.

What attracted you to Kettlebell training?

I had injured myself doing the traditional lifting. I needed to find a way to rehabilitate my shoulder and continue “weight” training. I enjoyed the versatility of kettlebell training and found something that could give me strength and conditioning all in one workout.

If you could meet one historical figure, who would it be?

Leonardo Da Vinci

Favorite show or movie series to binge watch:

Stranger Things

Favorite music to work out to, and favorite to listen to when cruising around town:

Hard rock and heavy metal for both. I enjoy listening to Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin when throwing around some iron. It just seems right.
